It appears Ian Craig – the Politics File, Tuesday, October 25 – has lost his political compass. His article on Neil Hamilton has many discrepancies, including that he snatched the leadership, rather than won it in a democratic process. The mention of his part in a game show with Johnny Vegas (while holding no political post) says more about Craig than Hamilton.

He also stated that ‘more than a few within the Welsh Assembly Group, see him as a liability’ which is totally incorrect and he provides no evidence for that. His comment that ‘two AMs have jumped ship’ is correct, but again he leaves out the real reasons why.

Trust me, if you could see this Labour government at close quarters it would give you palpitations. They scream about ‘austerity’ but are wasting money on a vast scale.

Ukip have upset the old order and will continue to do so.

We want a change from a Labour administration who have dominated Welsh politics for too long. They dominate our school boards and you must know that we are at the bottom of the league in all subjects. And we are the poorest country in the UK and behind many others in the EU.

So perhaps Mr Craig you could turn your column into one that would make Wales a better place, rather than mundane utterings.
