IN FAVOUR of preventing the proposed closure of Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre, Pontllanfraith resident Mr Allan Robinson says “there must be another way other than rip the heart out of local facilities which when gone are gone forever”, (Letters, January 10, 2018).
I absolutely agree. Pontllanfraith’s three Labour councillors share Mr Robinson’s view.
We hope that when it reconsiders the closure decision later this month, Caerphilly Council’s Regeneration Scrutiny Committee will decide to recommend that Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre should stay open, so that local residents can continue to enjoy and benefit from its facilities.
