I WOULD like to take this opportunity as chair of governors of Blackwood Comprehensive School and on behalf of the governing body to thank the leader of Caerphilly County Borough Council Cllr Dave Poole, the cabinet member for Neighbourhood Services Cllr Nigel George and the officers involved in recently securing the funding from the Welsh Government for the new £810,000 3G facility at our school.
The funding which has been secured via the 21st Century Schools and Education Programme has been greatly welcomed by all at Blackwood Comprehensive School, which will now aid us in our quest to become a school of sporting excellence.
This new 3G facility will be of great benefit to us as a school in achieving this ambition along with benefitting the wider community.
