WHAT would your readers spend £4 billion of public money on?

Increasing the number of police officers on the street to reduce crime, employ more doctors and nurses to reduce NHS waiting list?

Or invest in public projects to stimulate the economy and provide a much-needed jobs boost?

Well, the government is spending £4 billion a year on keeping our troops in Afghanistan.

It is not only the financial cost but the cost of human life – to me it is a price too high to pay.
