HOW I do agree with Mike Buckingham about the lights. In the pre-neon age, I could stand outside my house and look up into the Milky Way and really feel the depth and wonder of it. As one who still believes in God, seeing the heavens with no interference between me and their splendour made me contemplate Bible passages: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.”
“Thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is holy ...”
“Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?”
“There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another in glory!
