EARLIER on in the year, I wrote about the lack of benches at the Glebelands recreational park.
I wanted to let you know that money has now been invested by Newport City Council.
Not in the provision of benches, not in the removal of the three-foot-high thistles (waiting for a small child to topple into) that adorn the car park of the adjacent Glan Usk School.
The money has been spent on moving a dog waste bin. There are only two of these bins to cover this wide expanse, but instead of adding a new one, time and money has been spent moving one of the original bins.
Is it any wonder the people in this area, feel like poor relations?
