NICE TO see Brian Donovan back in print with yet another of his favourite topics - dogs’ mess.(12/6).

Having read it a few times cannot for the life of me see the relevance to Matthew Pimm’s comments.

I agree that there are a few uncaring owners who let their mongrels defecate on the pavement without clearing it but to describe our streets as being ‘plastered’ in pooh is a little OTT Brian.

Most owners can be seen with their trusty pooper-scoopers roaming the highways and byways, and indeed portrait the best of the bunch.

You seem to be rather overwhelmed Brian by the few non-compliers of taking the pooh away, when dog owners are no better or worse than any other pet owners.

For instance, what about cats who bounce freely around with great gusto doing the business anywhere they want?

Any comments on this Brian or would you treat them differently than dogs?
