Which sites were rejected? (From South Wales Argus)

Could Councillor Bob Bright publish map of rejected Newport Gipsy and Traveller sites?

CLLR Bob Bright is correct when he says the issue of Gipsy and traveller sites is emotive and it is fair to say it doesn’t bring out the best in the human spirit.

Nevertheless, Cllr Bright is critical of the previous site option process by saying it was secretive and not open and transparent.

Given that he has ordered a review, I am sure he will be more than happy to readily publish all the sites that were originally considered.

Perhaps the Argus could assist the process by publishing a map of all the 200 sites so that readers can judge for themselves? I am sure those residents living close to sites that were rejected because they were unsuitable will welcome the opportunity to contribute to the debate and to offer alternatives for consideration in this new process.
