ON June 23, I was rushed into the Royal Gwent Hospital with massive internal bleeding. Six-and-a-half hours and 40 units of blood later, the surgeons were able to stop the bleeding, effectively saving my life.
From the intensive care unit, where I was unconscious for four days, I went to the medical assessment unit and on to Ward D4 West, where the wonderful nurses and other staff did all they could to ensure my improving health.
One sees so many complaints about individuals these days but no thought for the unit as a whole, I felt it was time to try and put things straight.
By the way, does anyone know where the chef buys his sausages?
