I SEE Ken Ellis, President of Newport Chamber of Trade, has checked out the work on the gas line in the city centre and he is a bit concerned it’s running late and could not see any workmen down the hole. Does this mean when the cat’s away the mice will play?
I think it’s time for a pussy cat to stroll down to Cardiff Road and check out the inconvenience the people of Pill and the surrounding area have had for months. Pedestrians forced off the pavements to walk in the traffic. There’s one lane with a deep camber between Lola’s and the King Billy, which is not safe for a high-sided vehicle.
