EBBW VALE to Newport train line. Here is another reason to re-instate it!
Your headline of August 15 screams ‘9,000 jobs for north Gwent’ – wonderful news, but what about public transport?
Surely this news should inspire the powers that be to really get behind the train line re-instatement of the train link.
The usage of the Ebbw Vale – Cardiff line has far exceeded all expectations, so that speaks for itself.
Obviously, with that anticipated workforce, more public transport will be needed – not only trains but buses, too.
The knock-on effect should be more buses, with more drivers, etc.
Finally, I hope that the construction firm selected will use local labour and talent and not imported workers.
