The fine art of composting

I thought I had recycling down to a fine art, but when the compost wasn’t emptied, I was told by a little jobsworth it was because I had put peelings in it.

I’ve had this bin for yonks and have always done this. Now I’m supposed to put them in the waste food bin, which I thought was for cooked food only. Never mind, instead of doing them a favour, I can go back to building my own compost heap!

Of course you are far too important to follow the rules like everyone else. Do you contribute anyting else to society inbetween writing to the paper attacking people who are simply doing the job they are paid for?

Spot on. To its credit Newport Council is very good at recycling. Other things could be better though
