Support for Councillor Gwyneira Clark

I FEEL sure I write on behalf of most constituents in Mrs Gwyneira Clark’s ward to support her in the unfortunate circumstances she finds herself in. Gwyneira has served this community for many years and has always given 101 percent to the people.

She is very approachable and will always do her utmost to help. I have worked in benefits for many years in Torfaen and she often calls on me to help people in need. She also came to support me when I needed it most and has done so for many others. I have no hesitation in saying that her integrity will never be in doubt as far as the people are concerned. Let us not forget that she herself identified this oversight and immediately referred herself to the public services ombudsman. She certainly does not deserve the three months suspension she has been given and I can only conclude by saying “Gwyneira, the people are behind you”.

Totally wrong and misleading headline "Bargoed" NO, Garndiffaith YES

I am certainly not of the same political persuasion as Cllr. Clark but I have known her for many years and found her to be hard working, diligent, caring and one of the few councillors on Torfaen CBC who is held in high regard by all parties in the Greater Gwent area.
It is true that with all her experience she should have known better but at least she put her hand up and was not left kicking and screaming foul like many other councillors involved with the Ombudsman.
