SO the Labour Party conference has finally gone away.

The obsessive theme, of course, was deep Tory cuts. No mention of the £160 billion deficit that Labour left only two and a half years ago, eloquently confessed by Labour MP Liam Byrne with “sorry folks, there’s no money left”. No hint from Mr Miliband of how Labour would get us out of this deep hole, not even as is fashionable these days, a grudging apology. Except to borrow more! This is Alice in Wonderland politics.
