October Bullion Draw
The October draw was performed at half time during the Newport V Tonmawr fixture. Local historian and author Steve Lewis puled out the winning numbers.
Steve has just published an excellent book on the life and career of Ken Jones. Ken was born in Blaenavon but went on to find fame as a flying wing for Newport RFC and then Wales and the British Lions. He also had an excellent athletics career including an olympic final appearance. Spikes and Studs is available from all good book shops.
The winners of the draw were: 1st - K Jarvis (£300), 2ns J Crocker (£75) & 3rd A Hale (£25)
