TOMORROW'S League Two clash between Newport County AFC and Dagenham & Redbridge is subject to a 9am pitch inspection at Rodney Parade.

The Argus understands that there is already standing water on the surface with more heavy rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

The Daggers are staying in Newport tonight, as is the match referee who will look at the pitch this evening.

But a final decision will be made after the official inspection at 9am tomorrow morning.

The coaches carrying the Dagenham fans are due to set off at around 10am if the match goes ahead.
